- By experiencing Australia’s unique traditional events and sports, we will deepen our understanding of different cultures, and at the same time, we will deepen our understanding of Japanese traditional culture through cultural exchange programs and contribute to international dissemination.
- By communicating the current situation of Tohoku to Australia, we will appeal to support international earthquakes.
Global youth development program provided (2018-)
- The disaster area reconstruction issues decided by the participants themselves will be implemented in Sydney and Japan (after returning to Japan).
- Cultivate an international perspective through internships and volunteers.
- Experience homestay and self-reliance overseas.
I would like you to implement the plans for the reconstruction of Tohoku and the development of Japan in Sydney and connect them to global expansion. Through this activity, I want young people who can play an active role globally while taking pride in Japan and Tohoku.


Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction support activities

Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Assistance Event in Sydney
A charity event is held in Sydney every year around March 11th.
On the 5th anniversary of the earthquake, a number of events were held at Manly, a tourist beach in northern Sydney, with the cooperation of the Japanese Consulate in Sydney, the International Exchange Fund, about 30 companies and organizations, and more than 100 volunteer staff. , Violinist Ayako Ishikawa /”Pokemon” voice actor Rika Matsumoto’s charity live /Australian rescue team commendation supported in the disaster area, etc.)
