Samurai siege re-enactment by Fukushima students
JCS Rainbow project invites high school students who are actively involved in Samurai re-enactment project in Fukushima. They are going to showcase traditional samurai performances in Sydney in August.

Under the banner of “Japanese Warrior Arts”, Dion Kalos shares the traditional martial arts of the samurai and ninja as taught by Masaaki Hatsumi.The areas of study covers unarmed combat, traditional tools and tactics as well as the technique-philosophy relationship for self-protection.These ancient arts that have been passed down through the generations have many lessons we can apply today.

Mosman Martial Arts Academy
Venue: Corso, Manly, NSWMosman Martial Arts Academy is located on the corner of Bydown Street and Military Road, Neutral Bay. We offer a comprehensive variety of martial arts to suit all ages and levels of experience. Adult classes includes Karate, Self Defence, Capoeira, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Kickboxing, Boxing and Classical Weapons. Kids’ programmes include Capoeira, Karate, Classical Weapons, and Stunt Primer for Juniors. In addition, we also offer special holiday camps (in between school terms) for junior boxing and sumo wrestling.

Junko Hirabayashi

Junko started learning Japanese traditional dance, Nihon-Buyo, in Tokyo. She is one of the experts of renowned Fujima School, Kanshima Fujima, as her head dance teacher in Japan. Junko emigrated to Australia in 2011. Junko regularly performs for charity and community events and private functions in NSW.
She also organizes dance workshops in Sydney.

Wadaiko Rindo
Venue: Corso, Manly, NSWWadaiko RindoWadiko Rindo Sydney formed in 2009 has been performing at festivals in local cities including Annual Japan Summer Festival “Matsuri” at Darling Harbour, Cherry blossom Festival in Auburn and Annual Koi Festival in Fairfield. They also perform at corporate functions in Sydney.
Wadaiko Rindo Sydney is always delighted to participate in various events, wishing to share their deep energetic sound of Taiko drums with many audiences.
